I would give 10 stars if I could! I am so happy with the services provided at Johanny’s salon! First, started with some research as I wanted a cut and looking for a new spot. Jose, the owner, was very knowledgeable and helpful with scheduling my services, and understanding my hair needs. Johanny is also the owner, she was styling natural hair, which looked beautiful and she was also so hospitable and knowledgeable. Maria washed my hair, and she was great! I was relaxed and she was so gentle with my hair but thorough with getting my hair clean and prepped for styling. Noelia cut and styled my hair- and she is just AMAZING! You can feel the care in her attention to detail, patience in getting it right but attentive to me as a client. She gave great after care tips , and 4 days later my hair

I've been getting my hair done here for a year now and I have never in my entire Dominican life of getting my hair done at Dominican salons for the last 21 years -- ever experienced a more professional salon. This is what sets them apart, authentic Dominican Salon where the owner works there, her and her team engage in continued education of different hair types, styles, and for each product they sell. They KNOW what they're doing and they KNOW what's in their products! I have natural curly hair, in the one instance where a new hairstylist of theirs damaged my hair, they investigated, let her go, the owner personally fixed and treated my curls, coiled them on the house and they truly valued my business. Now every stylist there on knows to treat my CURLS with GENTILITY. Love it! IYKYK This

To say I had a great experience would be an understatement. As soon as I got there Johanny and her husband helped me pick out the perfect color that I was looking for and she got it perfectly!! I was nervous at first since I had 4c hair and have had some bad experiences in the past from other salons but this one was completely different. My hair felt super soft after and my coils are still intact. I will 100% be coming back everyone was kind and patient from start to finish!

The salon is beautiful, clean, bright. It’s close to trains/buses and easy to get to. Everyone is friendly and welcoming. Maria is amazing! She’s very professional, kind, experienced, and thoughtful. She cares about the health of your hair and wants you to look beautiful. I recommend seeing her and visiting the salon!

I’ve been coming to this salon for wash n blow for a few years, since their previous location on Ralph Ave. I’m an African American woman so my hair is thick and long, I get roller set and a blowout after to limit the amount of heat on my hair. I previously got flat iron as well but either or my hair comes out great ! I always have a good experience with Maria from the time I enter the salon. She listens and takes her time, my hair always comes out phenomenal.
