I don’t usually write reviews, but my experiences at this salon were so unacceptable that I feel obligated to warn others—especially Black women with natural hair. I decided to give this salon a second chance, even though my first visit was already bad. I came in with my hair already washed because they brush hair wet and extremely hard, causing a lot of breakage. Even then, I was still charged $75 just for a blow dry. When I first came at age 17 for a wash and blowout, the owner, Mrs. Julia, handled my natural Black hair with irritation and zero care. She was rushing, chatting, and barely paying attention to my hair. Very disappointed today to find out they will no longer be servicing kids. My daughters loved coming to this place. She also accused my daughter who is six years old of crying when she gets her hair done and my daughter has NEVER cried while getting her hair done there. The last time we came to this place was in April because my daughters has had braids so they definitely confused my daughter with someone else. Disappointing!!!!!

Sometimes I do not have the energy to wash my own 4a/4b hair and my regular salon is across town and so only visit for my cuts and trims every 8 weeks or so. I needed a local place to quickly wash, flat iron and blowdry my hair for me (nothing more). No cut, color etc needed because I am nervous about letting anyone do anything more. Julia's does the job effectively at a reasonable price. They did not use too much heat imo and my scalp was not sore after.

I am always so pleased when I go to Ms. Julia. She does good work, is very timely and kind. Love this shop!!

This is the place to go especially if you have any kind of cultured hair! They all work together to make your time spent in the salon less, but to also give you an amazing style! We’ll be back! This is definitely our new spot to get our hair done. Well done ladies.
