I went here for a wash and blowout — the wash itself was great. Unfortunately, the blowout was a completely different story. The stylist used burnt hairbrushes that were already filled with other people’s hair — how is that even acceptable? You can’t afford new hairbrushes if you’re charging $50 for a blowout? I asked for volume, but my hair ended up looking flatter than ever. I’ve washed it twice since, and it still smells burnt.

Place was clean, all protocols were followed, my temperature was taken, hand sanitizer was provided and everyone wore a mask. The ladies were nice, I had a simple wash, deep conditioner, roller set and blow out

Naturals beware! Got my hair done here simple wash and blow in mid January - I didn't get it deep conditioned but I've had it not be other times/places I've put heat my hair and this has never happened. I maintained my hair for two weeks (and never added more heat myself after it wss done at the salon). SINCE then I have washed my hair multiple times it still smells burned and my curl pattern is ruined. I don't think something sinister like relaxer being put in my conditioner only because after my hair was washed and conditioned my curl pattern still looked the same and my hair felt the same when I looked in the mirror and touched it after it was all rinsed out and there was no burning while it was being washed or a weird smell or the other things I've heard you should look out for. I have been going to Julissa for years. I have even recommended this salon to a couple of friends and years later they continued to go, that should tell you alot. I usually get everything done ( wash and set ) with Julissa ( the owner). But if Julissa is not available the other ladies are just as good . They handle all types of hair. I have seen ladies come in with damage hair and with Julissa treatment and advice months later you can notice a difference. I would definitely recommend, atleast trying their services.

One of her employees would wash and set my hair and then Julissa would blow it out.
