Khady African Hair Braiding

If it was up to me I would give this place negative stars. The owner has no sense of time and is extremely rude. It took everything in me not to be rude back. I had an 11:30 appointment. My hair didn’t start getting done until 12:20. I wasn’t even going to bother but she promised me it would take an hr and I ended up leaving 2 hrs later. She also overcharged me for a simple style and the price on the phone increased when she saw me cause I hand long hair. Poor customer service and the worst experience I ever had at a salon.

This was my first time having braids in many years. I was skeptical because the first time i had braids they itched so badly that i cut them out the next day while away on vacation. Googled this spot and made an appointment. Maira (name spelling) started braiding as soon as I got there. They also have the hair accessible for you to choose from. I showed her the style that I wanted and received the same style. It took about 3.5hrs, as it was only to braid the middle of my hair because my hair is a pixie cut. I will definitely return because I was elated with the end results. To add, I received lots of compliments. :)

Honestly it was fun but expensive the Lady said not tight and it was tight it gave me a Headache and she charged us $70 for the Braids it took so long to ask for and she used fake Hair and I asked for Regular Hair

I came in for Knotless braids after randomly finding this place on google. I didn’t feel like going all the way to Harlem and she was walking distance from my house. I got there the same time as another customer and we were getting the same thing. Her and another braider did both me and the girls hair and the same time and swapped back and forth so they can finish faster. One started the breading cuzz she was faster and the other one finished the braid. We literally finished at the same time and it only took a few hours. they were pleasant and efficient and I have no complaints! LOVE LOVE LOVE IT HERE! Will be back again!!

The hair turns out good sometimes but there is no point in making an appointment because you are going to have to wait. i made an appointment for 10:30 for some cornrows and came back to my house at 6:15. Its crazy
