La Coiffure Salon

Joelle is an artist! What she did with my layered, short hair is incredible! Between her hair artistry and Melissa's professional makeup, I felt pampered and beautiful for my anniversary. Besides being masters at their craft, everyone at La Coiffure was warm, personable, and caring. Joelle even fit in my husband at the last minute so that he felt pampered too! Every time we return to Carmel, we will be sure to visit La Coiffure!!

We were staying at Lobos Lodge Memorial Day weekend. The new lady - Kim gave me a beautiful layered cut. I have fine, but a lot of hair and on a whim felt like cutting it. She is GOOD! Meticulously going over it where needed. Very happy. But I live in Napa - so am I going to find someone who can do exactly the same??!! Unlikely….. lol. Anyway - you can absolutely trust Kim!! I may just leave it until our return early September.

This place is advertised as a Make-up Salon on Google.I called last week to make an appointment for hair and make-up in anticipation of a black tie event I attended on Saturday. I spoke to the owner who agreed to schedule me for 4:30pm that day for hair and makeup. However, when I arrived at the scheduled time, the shop was closed. By chance the manager of the inn next door arrived shortly after and called the owner of la coiffure who apologized and returned to the shop 15 or so minutes later. Meanwhile, I was becoming stressed about time and being late for the event. He walked in, started running water, and informed me that they didn't even do make-up--the most important reason I made an appointment there. The owner did style my hair in a nice way and in short order. But I had to rush

Joelle was so great! The salon is cute, easy to find and its location in downtown Carmel-by-the-Sea is ideal. I couldn’t be happier with what Joelle did with my hair—a beautiful blowout. Everyone there was so focused on creating a wonderful experience. I’ll absolutely return next time I visit.

Helen squeezed us in last minute (even calling me back on the Sunday before Memorial Day) for a Saturday appointment. I had an early 60's style updo that stayed perfectly on top of my head from 10:30am - 10:45pm! I only took it down during the dirty South hip hop hour of dancing at a friend's wedding. That much booty dancing will shake out even the toughest of hairdo's. Helen's service was impeccable and I've never had so many compliments! I hope to see her again (and her gorgeous younger version of Karl Lagerfeld coworker) on my next trip to Carmel!
