Sam is insanely talented and hands down the best stylist I’ve ever had. She takes the time to do a thorough consultation, truly listening while also prioritizing the health of my hair. Her attention to detail, professionalism, and care really stand out. I fell in love with my hair and get compliments constantly. I couldn’t recommend her more.

I got a pretty disappointing haircut, which is unfortunate considering the salon’s perfect rating and stellar reviews. The first 3 photos show the haircut I received and the last photo is what I showed the stylist. I warned the stylist that my hair is fine and thinning in case the cut could not be replicated on my hair type but she assured me not to worry. I wanted it to be edgy and dramatic but I feel the stylist missed the mark. She was pretty conservative with hair length so I had to keep checking the back of my head and ask for it to be cut shorter to mimic the reference photo. The undercut was not styled well (no taper or fade or shape to the edges) and just looks unfinished. Everything was just OK until the very end when she started to texture my hair after the blowout. Sam was awesome. She cut my hair exactly how I asked, and the color turned out beautiful. What I appreciated most was how clearly she walked me through the (honestly pretty complex) coloring process—step by step—so I actually understood what was happening and why. She also gave me practical tips on how to care for my hair at home so the color stays fresh and my hair stays healthy. I left feeling confident, informed, and really happy with the results.

Steph was so lovely! I love my cut, and she was very personable and kind. I showed her some photos of what I wanted, and she assessed my hair type and explained the best way to achieve what I was looking for (or as close to it as possible). I also told her I don’t typically spend much time on my hair, and she gave me very manageable, easy styling tips/advice for my hair throughout the appointment. Overall great experience and highly recommend.

The staff made me feel very welcome and comfortable. My hair came out amazing!! I’ve been going to Josh Truax for years, and I’ll never go to anyone else! Highly recommend going here, you won’t be disappointed.
