I have been seeing Lana since 1992 and I know it was meant to be! I started a new job and the receptionist asked, "who does your hair" and I said, "nobody yet, I just moved here". She picked up the phone, called her brother and made me an appointment for that night. I was 23. I walk into this salon and a big bald man stares me up and down. He comes over to touch my frizzy mop of curls and says, "Lana". It's been 32 years and I've cheated on Lana exactly twice. Once when I moved to Atlanta and once when I thought I'd just try a salon by my house. Both times I had to call her crying - and of course she fixed it. Top notch lady gave me a great cut in an welcoming environment. I am mixed race and I have very, naturally, curly hair that has always been a struggle to deal with. Stylists always try to tell me what I should do based off of something they heard about curly hair but Lana knows hair! she listen to what I had to say before explaining how my particular type of hair works and how I can get the most out of it, After a discussion we decided on a color to compliment my skin and a cut that allowed me to keep my length while shaping my face. I didn't go threw a drastic transformation she simply made it work for me and I am so grateful, it was a great experience. Thank you Lana!

I never go to salons to get my hair trimmed, cut, or done anymore and vowed not to because I'm mixed with long curly crazy hair and most can't deal with it. I was openly embraced and even more so applauded by Lana and her diverse crew. She is a hair artist and lovable hair snob. Lana won't suggest something that's not going to be absolutely fabulous. They also have such a great vibe. It's a small, urban boutique oasis where you will be remembered. They're also super affordable compared to other stylist of "ethnic" or "natural" hair.
