Lisa's Hair Salon

The last time I went Lisa burned my ear bad. It took 3 weeks to heal. Haven't been back since. Also her prices change every time I went. She talk to much need to pay attention to her clients when doing their hair.

Been going here since the 2003. The price is still reasonable compared to other Dominican Salons which are on the pricey side. I'm a customer due to the price and customer service. I have been a customer at Lisa's Hair salon for about 2 years. Yasmin, my stylist has done my hair for nearly 6 years. I followed her to Lisa's Hair Salon, from College Park to Silver Spring which has increased my weekly drive time by 15 mins. but it is worth it. Everyone at the salon is friendly and professional. The service and prices are always consistent. Given my work schedule, I am unable to take advantage of their 2 day, weekday special. In speaking to others, prices are cheaper than other Dominican salons. I get tons of compliments on how healthy and beautiful my hair is. Yasmin takes excellent care of my hair..no excessive heat, faithful wash/deep condition/set and wrap. On the few occasions that I have come on Yasmin's day off, I have walked away pleased with Mari or Lisa's

I used to come here on and off for the last two years. I really liked Lisa's until my last visit just over a month ago. Not only did she burn the hell out of my hair with the relaxer, which left burns that lasted over a week! I was in a rush and wanted my hair blow dried ( which at most salons, is the default way of drying everyone's hair unless stated otherwise) and she tried to change me extra for it, WITHOUT telling me. Normally she will put you under the hairdryer with rollers on - but I didn't feel like waiting to get my hair dried. I had called over the phone twice, and asked exactly how much a relaxer would cost, and she told me $65. So that was exactly how much money I put on the debit card I planned on using for her service. I cannot lie I absolutely loved my hair and my daughters after getting it done here!! Although they did charge I think 10$ extra because of “hair texture” they did a really good job! I just think they shouldn’t advertise the blow out “specials” but then charge people extra money.
