From the moment we walked into her salon, the atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and child friendly. She immediately put my child at ease with her calm demeanor and engaging personality. I went to her a couple of times. Heard about her from a friend. It was hard to get in but I finally did. She did a good job on my hair but then the last appt I had with her she canceled lady minute the day I was supposed to get my hair done?Said she had a family emergency. I go, Ok no problem. When can I reschedule? She was like I’ll refund your money. I was like hon? Everyone has a right to refuse business to anyone but it was weird the way she did it! More than weird it was unprofessional! I agree that she’s nasty and rude!!! Don’t waste your time.

Jalyssa has been doing my sons hair for almost 2 years now! She is so talented!! From the very beginning she has been a pleasure to be around and always makes sure my son is comfortable. I also love the fact that she is so patient with him. Whatever style I ask her for, she does exactly what I ask! I love her! Would recommend 100 times!

I met with Jalyssa for a consultation about starting dreadlocks. I had no idea about anything, we talked about size and styling options. After reviewing some of the styles I was interested in, she informed that style is a freeform style and would not need her services. She then explained the difference between freeform dreads and the services she offers. I decided to go with Jalyssa's services and when asked how soon I would like to have it, I responded ASAP due to a family trip I had planned for the upcoming holidays. Very unprofessional to my older auntie who came to her, based on the 5 star rating. I don't care how many plates you serve to our homeless community, I do know if you have a nasty heart and are disrespectful to the elderly, you will not gain much. I'd expect more professionalism from a military vet but she was Navy so maybe they don't teach them that part. Never again will I recommend her.
