L&J African Hair Braiding

Had a 10am appointment and when I showed up they were closed. I waited 10 minutes and called and was told if I could come back at 12pm plus she was going to give me a discount. No problem since I only live 5 minutes away. I come back at 12pm and there is a braider there doing someone’s hair. I told her that I was told to come back at 12pm. She asks me if I could come back at 2pm. I told her I can’t. She told me that she have to finish that person’s hair first. I waited a few and left. She asked was I coming back and I said no. Tried calling the owner again and it went straight to voicemail. I was very upset and disappointed because I’ve been coming here for almost 5 years with no issues. Unprofessional business practices. Really need a better way of booking and tracking appointments. Showed up for my appointment and had no one available to do my hair. I will not do business with people that have no respect for people’s time.

Your typical African braiding salon . They were nice , fast , friendly . It was clean and I was started on soon as I arrived . They wanted payment before service started which I thought was odd and only wanted cash . Should have said before , had to use atm next door . But overall it was a good experience

I have been going here for some time and even referred a few people. Alice usually does my hair and I like it because she is fast (usually 4-5 hours) reasonably priced, and I loved my hair. Well 06-21-2024 I arrive 8:30 and there are three people there at this point I'm excited what came next I wasn't expecting. Alice proceeds to let two women do my hair one was very heavy handed and really hurt my head. I informed Alice multiple times but she did nothing as she was too busy taking walk-ins which I have no problem with. The problem came in that I was there almost 9 hours due to multiple people on my head and the one who finished was not fast as Alice stated not to mention I WAS IN PAIN that woman terrorized my head and I'm not tender headed. At one point I had to ask if she was married 😳😳😳
