I used to go to this salon when I lived in Atlanta and since I was visiting, my mom and I went and booked appointments to get our hair washed and styled. We both got blowouts/presses. The stylist that did my hair was very rough with detangling my hair as well as blow drying. I’ve been natural for 8 years and have tight coils. Every “natural” stylist I’ve been to has been able to detangle/blow dry my hair without it being painful. The stylist was harsh with blow drying my hair to the point where my scalp is STILL hurting from how hard she pulled my hair. I know I needed a trim and she also mentioned that I needed a trim. She stated that she is trained under Louis, however she trimmed (CUT) off a lot of my hair- at least 3-5 inches in some areas(yes I measure my hair every once in a while) I

I had my cut and color with Louis himself, it was wonderful to say the least. The salon is beautiful and modern, very clean. I made an appointment last minute and they were very kind in accommodating me. I explained to Louis what I wanted and asked for his suggestions, he is very conversational and pleasant. I wanted a blunt shoulder length haircut with layers in the front and to go from dark brown faded ombre to single process red-brown hair. I got exactly what I wanted and more. The best part was when he washed my hair, it was very relaxing. Lastly, his front desk manager was very nice and he stayed past closing to make sure my perfect blow out was gorgeous. Will be going there for all my hair care needs from now on since it's close to where I work.

My sister made my first appointment. She explained to the staff I was status post surgery and would present to the salon on crutches and my leg would need to elevated as much as possible. They assured her they could accommodate my needs. One of the stylists met me outside and assisted me into the salon. I am proud to say the staff exceeded all of our expectations! They were courteous, kind and very attentive to my needs. They approached me periodically to see if I needed anything. Mr. Quartermaine was my stylist and he did a superb job! We currently have a residence in Tampa Fla but my wife and I heard about the Louis Quarterman Salon so on a recent visit to Atlanta we decided to book an appointment, we called and were able to get squeezed in (usually a sign of a good stylist) when we arrived the ambiance of the salon was really nice, you could tell that this was not just another fly by night establishment, it seemed to be carefully thought out, I as a husband was thoroughly impressed! My wife didn't have to wait long at all to be called back, he had assistants and they were very friendly and professional.
