Lucent Nails

I’ve been coming to Lucent Nails for over a period of year. It was the first place I tried once I moved to Marysville and I’m glad I did. I’m writing thins review in particular to highlight their cleanliness and attention to what the client needs. I came in with a minor ingrown toenail (I know they wouldn’t do any major ingrown toenail) but the nail tech was careful with my bruised toe. She let me know she is not qualified for any major cases but she will do her best to take of me. She did more than that… she cleaned my toe and took out the ingrown nail with no pain. I was so relieved. Thank you so much Mila!

Mila is the BEST of their nail techs - I recommend her to all my friends and family. She is excellent at nail shape and is so nice. I’m pretty easy to please, but there is one tech who I tend to avoid - sits at seat 7. The few times I’ve had her she got kind of aggressive with my hands after I asked for nail art or just to fix the shape of one. The owner is inconsistent with pricing. I will keep going back for Mila and Tina though.

I went in for a fill and showed a picture of the French tip nails I wanted to get at the beginning of my appointment. (pictures shown, last pic is inspo pic and first is what I got) I had to correct the lady doing my nails in the middle of the appointment and tell her again what I wanted with the shape. She clipped my cuticle, it started bleeding and she waited at least a minute to say “sorry”. The shaping looked like I could have done it myself, you can see and feel the lumps from my last set and the French tip polish is uneven on every nail. She also left a chip in my thumb nail and polish was all over my fingers that she could’ve cleaned up. The Additionally, she made me pay $55 for only a fill and it says on their board that a full set would be $55 (I should have just gotten a full set

I drop in, it's close and convenient. I'd say half the time I have a good experience but the other half I don't. I request what I want, half the time they either don't understand or ignore me. This last time I asked for builder gel. I paid for a manicure, no cuticle trimming and she ground down everything, no soaking. My nails started breaking 3 days later. They also never honored my punch card. "Use next time" then the lady told me it was already crossed out. Never again.

I normally write positive reviews, but this is important to bring attention to. My elderly parent was charged an extra $5 on top of the regular pedicure price. Two months ago, I had treated him as well as myself and two other family members for pedicure services. His service was $30. Very disappointed he was taken advantage of when he went by himself.
