Madison Reed Hair Color Bar Flatiron

Switching from my colorist at a private salon to becoming a member at MR is the best decision I have made for my hair in a long time. I started out last year as a pro member and used to come every six weeks. I recently upgraded to unlimited and now come every three. The ease of being able to walk into any location and for them to know and have your formula instills confidence in the whole process. I also recently started treating myself to the occasional blowout and each one has been exceptional. My go-to salon is the Flatiron location in NYC. I love Ana, Steven, Rejane, Laura and there are certainly others, but those four stand out.

Fabulous experience!! I had a gloss, Bond treatment and a blow out and I am extremely happy with my color, style and service! Very comfortable and clean inside and everyone was very nice and helpful! The colorist and her assistant were both amazing!!

Excellent 1st time customer experience.Staff was very friendly and accommodating . Elizabeth answered all my questions and made sure I left with the exact color I wanted . She was phenomenal!

I’ll start by saying I’ve been coming for years and have been a member for most of that time. The service has always been great in the past. I had to take a few months off (cutting costs) and I just came back today with the plan on renewing my membership. I wear glasses so that I can read, and I’ve always been offered sleeves for my glasses, or when they would occasionally run out, I’ve been given foil to cover the handles so that they don’t stain. I always thought that’s a great service to provide and was grateful for it. Today I was told they ran out of sleeves and that unfortunately they will NOT give me foil instead (was given some ridiculous excuse as to why it wasn’t an option, by the manager). I know it’s a small issue, BUT it makes it very unpleasant to not be able to see while y

(1) The colorist was nice, but unable to match my roots to the rest of my hair. (2) I booked Roots + Bonding Time Pro ($135), but the colorist insisted on adding a gloss. The total came to $180, and my hair ended up significantly darker than when I arrived - despite my repeated requests to keep my existing shade. (3) I had a $50 account credit valid at any Madison Reed salon, confirmed by email from Madison Reed. The manager refused to honor it and told me to return to the other location. (4) The manager was also pushy about tips at checkout, which felt unprofessional - especially given I was unhappy with the result. I’m leaving two stars instead of one only because my gray was covered, though not in the color I requested.
