Madison Reed Hair Color Bar Katy

I had my hair colored at Madison Reed the Katy Cinco Ranch Location (La Centerra) last week by Mimi. I’m 45, my hair is long and straight, and I have always had black hair (natural color). It still looks somewhat healthy but Madison Reed makes it look HEALTHY. Mimi recommended the Madison Reed Bonding Time treatment along with The Great Cover Up to touch up roots at home while getting back in to color my roots. Mimi did an amazing job! I recently visited the Madison Reed location in Katy for the first time, and unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. Upon entering, I sought information, but instead felt more confused and dismissed. The colorist's demeanor was condescending, and rather than feeling supported, I sensed that my questions were an inconvenience to her. I was ultimately told that they couldn't darken highlighted hair, and was advised to visit my “regular salon” for that service. While I appreciate the honesty, the interaction felt impersonal and unwelcoming, making me hesitant to return. A few months ago I darkened my hair and started going to Madison Reed because of the Limitless Pro Plus Membership since my roots needed a touch up quite often. I recently took advantage of the 50% off accent highlights and Mimi was my color specialist. I’ve had highlights in the past but appreciated the time Mimi took to talk through it and make recommendations that I never thought about before. The results were amazing! Mimi is very knowledgeable and thorough with her work. She also has a great personality and was very pleasant to chat with.

This was the worst salon experience. But I guess it’s not a salon, it’s a “color bar” so don’t go here expecting salon grade service. They literally treat you like a number that they are trying to get in and out as fast as possible. When I first got there the workers weren’t the friendliest while checking me in . And they kept coming back to me asking me who I was like they were so confused. When I got my color done, I also paid for the shiny gloss treatment but my hair did not look like it had any gloss treatment afterwards so I’m actually not sure they gave it to me. After they shampooed my hair, they didn’t even know I had also bought the blow dry service so I had to remind them . The person that was blow drying my hair, kept asking how many clients that was left that needed blow dry,

I requested fall color with caramel highlights. The final look was not what I expected. My first time there, they did tell me if I don’t like it, I can come back. The manager and stylist were very nice. I will wash my hair and see how it turns out. I was not happy with the girl that did my blowout, she did a horrible job.
