Got an order for pickup for two boxes of Messina brown about three weeks ago, I opened them up tonight to prep my bathroom for coloring tomorrow to see that the mixing bottles have about half of the normal amount of solution to mix the color with. I’ve ordered both directly from Madison Reeds via online and pickup at the Cherry Creek location multiple times, this is the first time picking up at this location and I’ll never order here again and have contacted corporate. I have super thick hair and this isn’t enough to cover my roots. What a joke for the prices they charge.

I wish I could give this place zero stars. I’ve spent the last three years growing out my hair—it was super long, healthy, and something I was really proud of. I came to Madison Reed Hair Color Bar in Littleton for a balayage, and they assured me they could do it. This was my first time ever getting my hair done, so I didn’t mind that I was there for hours—what I did mind was how I was treated. The stylist working on me kept leaving me with bleach in my hair to go help other clients. She didn’t ask me a single question about my hair or what I wanted, nor did she explain anything she was doing throughout the entire process. This is what they consider a gray blending. I don't blame them for the orange/yellow color since I know that's hard but they gave me zero recommendations on how I can try to color correct for it. My old hairdresser is going to fit me in to fix it and recommended purple shampoo until then. The two stars is mostly because there was no mirror for me to see she was ignoring my request to focus on the hairline (what I booked) and focusing on my crown ( I didn't want that). This is a chop shop. They give you the formulaic service no matter what you say to them. Plus visible 1/2" roots was the best they could do. I needed a root touch up before I even left the salon.

My colorist was great! And the person who washed my hair was amazing. I told her I needed all of the color off due to it irritating my scalp. She washed it 3 times. And her head massage was unbelievably good!
