Madison Reed Hair Color Bar Montclair

Ever since Alex took over this location it has changed my outlook on coming every month. The last 2-3 visits were TERRIBLE for me. I have been denied service because of “short staffing”, one lady pulled my hair and when I complained she said- “it’s not our job to comb out your hair you should do this before you come” - I kid you not this is what she said. There was a walkout, a fight and just underwhelming customer service. Alex is warm, chatting and very nurturing. As soon as I came through the door I was greeted, he introduced himself and offered me something to drink. It wasn’t what he said, but also how he acted- his overall demeanor was just welcoming. Amazing job getting him in there. Definitely saved this customer!

I got my hair done at a salon on Monday but was left with banding, blotchy hair color and a stylist trying to convince me of how good it looked LOL. Decided to take a chance at Madison Reed and I’m extremely happy I did. Shoutout to Yannet for walking me through the process and saving my hair !!! I have never left a bad review before, but this is too extreme for me not to. I went into the salon with a few inspiration photos of what I wanted my hair to look like- I had never heard of Madison Reed salons nor had I ever visited one. The photos attached to this review show what my hair looked like, and the last photo was my inspiration/goal. I talked to the stylist for a while about my goals, and she told me she could accomplish what I wanted. As you can see in the photos of my hair now, it completely missed the mark- it’s extremely patchy, it looks purple… you can see the issues for yourself. Lisa at Madison Reed Montclair is amazing! She is so informative and really takes the time to explain everything. I get so many compliments on my color thanks to her. Excellent service every single time. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience. The salon is fresh, new and appealing. The techXbeauty vibes are serious here. My technicians were knowledgeable, pleasant and super helpful. I had a million questions and they were on it!
