Someone threatened to kill me and everyone inside the shop, and a woman who clearly did not know how to do braids was assigned to my hair. While my hair was being done, the stylist had a pricing miscommunication with another client. He then threatened to come back to the salon and shoot the entire place. Several of us inside were scared we were going to die and tried to leave, but the hairstylists would not allow us to go and pressured us to stay. So let me start by saying I’ve been coming here since I was a child. My mother used to watch these women like a hawk with my hair and now I know why. I went recently to get 12 large jumbo braids about shoulder length and 4 cornrows in the front. The lady tried to quote me 180 dollars at first. I looked at her like she was insane and then she said 130. Which I also think is a crazy price for 16 braids but whatever. I went there to get my hair done looking for the owner she wasn’t there so I left. The lady ran behind me outside and asked to do my hair. I said no… it’s okay i was pressed for time so I decided to give her a try. The place was dirty it smelled! The towels they use to wash the peoples hair was disgusting! She braided my hair and it wasn’t what I asked for she talked the whole time even on the phone as well. There’s was another girl getting her hair done that was in tears because she kept telling the lady she was doing her her wrong! They all verbally abused this girl it was so wrong because she was a paying Customer she should get what she wants! But anyway. I have been there twice because it is local and I wasn't able to go further. Both times started at one price ended at another.... declined small and asked for medium braids they did small and increased the cost.. Braids were fine but the woman in charge is a legit hustler.. saw her argue with someone else about "what she didn't say" 🙄 never again better prices outside of the neighborhood and the price doesn't fluctuate
