Mai is the best she specializes in braiding number one and she has some experience in other areas. Make sure to book a appointment with her she is very busy and gets booked quick, she braids really fast and neat I give her 5 stars for that . I don’t have anyone else do my hair but her . Her prices are always reasonable , I highly recommend booking before hand if you really want your hair done!

Mai is an excellent professional. She is an expert in braids and hair extensions. He is the most agile person making braids that I know in life. His work is exceptional and of high quality. If you have the opportunity to travel to NY, I recommend it 100%.

I recently had a troubling experience at MAI Studio that I feel compelled to share. I arrived with a clear vision for my hair: I wanted to go from dark brown to a medium chestnut brown and requested long layers, showing Mai a picture to illustrate exactly what I was looking for. Unfortunately, instead of following my requests, she decided to bleach my hair. When I expressed concern about the final color being orange, she insisted that the result was exactly what I had asked for, which felt dismissive and gaslighting. I felt unheard and unvalued as a client. In addition to my initial concerns about color, I specifically asked for long layers, but instead, I received a blunt cut that completely missed the mark.
