Mandingo Hair Braiding

Stumbled across this place yesterday (Thursday) and went in and asked if they had any openings for the following day (Friday). They said yes and gave them a time i was available being busy planning my babyshower for the following day (Saturday). I was so grateful that they could take me at last minute for a retwist. We set 1pm being the time. I showed up early because i don't like making the person wait on me when they may have other clients. I showed up and the open sign was on and lights were on but door was locked. I called the number on the building and no answer. I left a message saying i had an appointment and was outside waiting and no one was in the shop and that I would wait a few more minutes. After waiting forever I called again and the lady picked up and said the lady was next

The lady that stay across from the shop is very nasty. She was rude And prices were outrageous for corn rows. I will never ever go there again. The ladies across from Booker T. Washington High School have reasonable prices & the ladies are pleasant to there customers. We are entitled to pay what we think is reasonable. Don't let this women try to get over.

DO NOT STOP HERE! KEEP GOING! Horrible! I needed a retwist for a weekend event, which I was scheduled at another "loctician" but that appointment was a BIG disappointment! Which lead me to go this place... at the last minute, but YET another disappointment! I sat in the chair, then the lady started to speak which I could not understand, but she was telling me the wash bowl was broken!! So she had to wash my hair in the bathroom sink with a Chinese lemonade cup!! I was livid! Which I can fault myself as well because of the type of person that I am! Then after the wash, time to retwist, so I was noticing how quickly she was retwisting my locs ONLY to find out she was doubling my locs into one!! Smh... bad experience NEVER again!

I called on Tuesday to schedule an appointment for Friday and they told me they opened at 9 and I asked to have my appointment at that time and they told me okay. I go today and get there at 8:31 because I like to be early and end up waiting 2 hrs and left at 10:25 because nobody showed up. Do not waste your time here.

Don't go to These fake a** wannabe braiders. Prices were outrageous. Go to Braiding Shop off Park Ave. Across from Booker T High School. The ladies have great prices & great attitudes.
