Mariam's African Hair Braiding

OMG Mariam came right on time! I needed my hair done for an upcoming cruise and she delivered! She was patient with me changing date and time, the girls were patient with me picking my hair color! I got the box braids and she asked questions that hadn’t been asked before in what I wanted, desired outcome! Impressed! So when I say they did they thang BA BE! Yazzzz and how many hair braiding shops you know in Saint John’s/mandarin area, none! Right off the highway! When I was given the card and it said San Jose Blvd, I was sold and then the braid styles on the business card, I called! It took sbout 5 hrs box braids and when I say I have found my gurl! I absolutely love my braids! The ladies were quick and efficient. I will definitely be going back! I am giving them four stars because the cleanliness and clutter.

The girls that braided my hair did a wonderful job. I got my natural hair braided down for a wig install and they took their time to make sure it was neat and tight. Very gentle braiding. Thank you ladies. I definitely will be returning for future braids!!

I scheduled an appointment for 12 I arrive and there nobody in the building. I texted Mariam and she said her employees went to get food and would be back in ten minutes. I said that's unacceptable if I made an appointment for 12 then that's the time I expect to be in the chair. I don't care if your staff wanted to get food that should be done BEFORE my appointment considering I paid a $25 deposit to book my spot. Mariam said on the phone "things happen, what do you want me to do about it? They were hungry so they all left to get food quickly. Also one of my employees is a picky eater so it took longer to get her order right at the restaurant. Also we thought your appointment was at 12:30. I had a very bad experience yesterday I went in there and ask for simple style no hair on sides or back but they wanted to charge me 240 for a style that wasn't even worth it and wasn't what I wanted !..bad communication they don't no any English ,doesn't have good quality hair it was heavy&ugly..I had to come and take out all my hair,never ever go back there,Also they not friendly &they go mad at me for telling them this is not what I wanted!!! WORST HAIR EXPERIENCE IN MY WHOLE LIFE
