I cannot recommend Mary’s African Braiding enough! I recently took my 5-year-old granddaughter there for her first-ever salon experience, and it was nothing short of magical. From the moment we walked in, Mary and her staff welcomed us with warmth and kindness that immediately put us at ease. Mary’s gentle approach was perfect for my granddaughter, who was understandably a bit nervous. She took the time to talk to her, making her feel comfortable and special throughout the entire process. It was heartwarming to see how attentive and caring the staff were, especially when my granddaughter started to feel a little upset. The service my daughter received was the knotless braids. The process was about 6 hours and 15 mins long. The braids were affordable, beautiful and the hair color was perfect for her age under 12. Her braider Mary was professional and such a sweetheart. We will return to get a new set for the fall.

This is the only hair braiding salon I go to in Milwaukee and for good reason! The service is always excellent and the atmosphere is so warm and welcoming. Fair prices, friendly staff, and quality work every single time. A special shout-out to Grandma. She’s done my hair all six times I’ve been there, and she never disappoints!
