Massage Envy

I canceled my membership with the Bellevue location due to moving and planned to reinstate at another location. I had an unused massage credit that expired two days prior, and because it was over the 60 days outlined in the contract, there was no flexibility and the $95 credit was forfeited. I understand policies, but losing a prepaid credit in this situation felt unnecessarily rigid, especially when I was intending to continue services at a different location. This experience left a bad impression and is something potential members should be aware of.

To start, this was my first experience in any Massage Envy chain and my first time in Bellevue from Texas. Judging by the low rating, this experience was everything but relaxing. I was assigned to Sharon as my “masseuse” if she even is deserving of that title. She started off with a quick consultation for what was supposed to be a full body 60 minute massage. I let her know most of my tension was in my shoulder and neck area. She then proceeds to use the MOST FIRM ELBOW pressure in these regions, to which I quickly let her know hurt and if she can readjust. She kept switching from elbow pressure to forearm in the same spots over and over again, each time adding more pressure. Ken/Chien was great! He seems to be extremely knowledgeable about deep tissue massage and possibly Acupressure as well. Please bring cash tips as Tippy charges an extra fee to the masseuse. Definitely coming again! The front folks also really helped me out in a pinch and even gave my little one a special gift. Great shop!! UPDATE: Took my elderly MIL here and she loved it!! Chien did a great job again!!!

In my first experience here, Kaelyn made my visit such a great one! She gave me all the information and found a way to fit me into a busy schedule. Love to feel as though that team went above and beyond

I just finished a year contract with Massage Envy and I did try different locations and different therapists and I was getting massages usually twice a month. I would honestly say the majority of their therapist are just not very good unfortunately. I’m one for a deep tissue and it’s really challenging to find somebody who can actually do it properly. The other thing I don’t like is that a tip is basically required. I think a tip should only be earned in my opinion. They should be paying their therapist enough money as a tip to be just a bonus. I work in the service industry and I do get tips so I’m pretty well-versed in quality service.. I do like how easy it is to book an appointment online. However, to cancel an appointment is a different story. Now that my contract is up, I can’t say
