Matou Hair Braiding

I am overall happy with the outcome of my hair. I looked on TikTok for a salon with reasonable prices and I saw that they offered knotless braids for $260. I wanted thigh length so that made it $300. I called ahead to confirm the price and to see if they offered wash and blow dry which they did but not on that day due to problems with the sink or something but was able to blow dry which worked for me as I just didn't have a blow dryer. I arrived around 4 because I had to stop and get cash which the owner preferred and there was a little miscommunication which was resolved in a conversation. And pretty much started immediately. I’m very disappointed with my recent visit. I specifically asked for small knotless braids and received something completely different — the boxes are large, and the braids themselves are thin. I got my hair braided just yesterday, and my natural hair is already fuzzing out of the braids. I believe it was the owner who did my hair. I arrived at 7:03 a.m. as the first client, but still had to wait 45 minutes for my braider to arrive. This is my sixth time coming to this shop, and while the first few experiences were great, the last three visits have been disappointing. Unfortunately, this one was the worst, and I won’t be returning. They also advertise $200 for any size and length, but that’s not true. I arrived at 9 a.m. for smedium knotless braids, butt length, and didn’t leave until AFTER 7 p.m. OVER 10 hours later. I only have about 80 braids, and the parts don’t even match the braid size. The front has small, neat parts, but the back has huge, spaced-out sections that look terrible. Other clients who came after me had two or three braiders working on their hair, while I had one person the entire time — and she still did a half job. I even brought my own comb and gel to help, but she acted like I couldn’t use them or that my gel wasn’t good enough, even though another braider in the same shop was using the exact same gel. I ask for 18 cornrows.. straight back with my natural hair. The stylist had a very bad attitude. They had their kids running around the shop messing with people‘s hair packets, bare DIRTY feet ! The soles of their feet were jet black ! They were very rude and kept bumping into people screaming about their hungry. I think like three kids was my stylist alone. She did not braid my hair all the way to the end … the parts were sloppy and crooked!. She didn’t start the right place so she ended up when she got to the middle, it was all the way up. She had no more hair to catch so it was just like a piece just flapping in the wind. I called and complained about it and I also showed pictures . I talked to I guess the owner so they asked me to return and they took my hair loose and gave me my mone

If I could give zero stars, I would. False advertising, I asked for human hair, small knotless colored and butt length. They told me the cost was $200. Once I arrived, they told me the total would be $260. They only did 70 braids that barely cover my head, only one lady that did my hair who was clearly a beginner and was joined later by another lady. It took way longer than I was promised. I asked for edges and she did one side and now my hair looks crazy. The lady in the front was too loud and spoke in their African language aggressively. I drove over two hours for this appointment during holidays season. I’m so disappointed and would never ever go there again. Safe yourself the pain and go somewhere else. It’s not worth it.
