Maty & Mom African Hair Braiding

I had such a great experience getting my hair braided! Everyone was so sweet and welcoming — they even offered and made me coffee, which was such a nice touch. The service was super fast and efficient; I was in and out in just 4 hours! My braids look amazing, and I’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend second time here. I just had to come back!

I have one word to describe these ladies and that is WONDERFUL. The energy in the salon was very welcoming and warm. We don’t often get this in salons. So it was appreciated. My braids look amazing! At about 3:30 in the afternoon, I walked in and asked if she could finish Box braids that I started. Now most people would’ve looked at me and said no I’m not gonna go over that work that you did yourself. Maty warmly accepted me. I was In-N-Out in about two hours they even redid My hairline to make it neater. I can honestly say I don’t think I’ll go to anyone else for braids from this point forward.I would suggest the salon and I give them tens across the board.

I contacted Maty on Saturday afternoon, and I was getting my hair braided the next day! Maty was kind, her mother and sister were also super sweet and they made me feel comfortable and happy in their shop! Maty continued to check on me throughout the service as well, and made sure that I was happy with every single aspect. I have surely found my new braiding team here in Richmond.
