Meite African Hair Braiding

Called and she got me in same day, but complained that she was "relaxing"that day. Are u working or not? Showed an hour late. Store front looked condemned. Inside was filthy, roaches and all. Brought my own hair with no discount. Did a good job. But never again. Paid, tipped, and left $180+. Do better

Let me just say this is a wonderful place to go. This was my first time visiting this shop and she did a wonderful job on my hair. This shop is in a very nice, upkeep and safe location. She braid my hair fast and worked on my hair only. No other clients were scheduled during my appointment. Your hair will be braided tightly so be prepared but within 4 days or so it will be forgotten. I had the owner of the sister braid my hair. Very nice young lady. Update: 7/17/18 She is the process of moving to a new location. Her website is down but her number is still reachable. If you need to setup an appointment call and she will take great care of you. The newly updated photo is what my hair looks like today..

I visited this place for the first time based on some of the reviews that I read. First of all she was not on time , secondly, the hair she use was Konkalon, cheap stuff, which I didn’t know that until she have finished. I do not like that type of hair it sticks your body and it’s heavy. She also braids tight and I had to keep telling her too tight and then she would redo it. And she doesn’t have any other type of hair. I paid $150 for my hairstyle never again will I go back . Be warned!

Very sweet lady (Hody... not sure about the spelling) braided my hair. She's not really knowledgeable on the newer styles (goddess, feed-in braids etc) but her Ghana braids are really neat. Only problem.... 2 days in and I may have to take my braids out because they are extremely too tight and I'm afraid my edges are being damaged. I have taken Tylenol and ibuprofen for the last 2 days, ran warm water on my scalp, used a heating pad, and warm towel on my head, and I'm still in pain. And no, I'm not tender headed. I paid 130 + tip for 2 layers, and I have to take them down and figure something else out for my vacation this week because this pain and tension on my edges is unbearable. Lastly, the shop was pretty messy (I came in at 9am...1st client) and had a very sour smell. All-in-all, t

I got my starter dreadlocks done at Meite she did it herself she is so professional and knowledgeable all everyone that knows me compliments my locs and trust me I got so many you wouldn't believe. I highly recommend Meite.
