UPDATE (2/25/26): After I posted the below review, Mellow Bar’s customer service texted me to offer a free redo. My 2/19 redo appointment went smoothly. Norah helped me choose a lilac cat eye and applied a swatch to confirm the color was close to my expectation. She carefully filed & soaked off my previous set from 2/9 and meticulously painted the cat & heart designs I requested. 6 days later - No issues with scuffing, scratches, or any signs of wear on this set. I appreciate the client service team offering a redo and will return. Changing from 1-star to 4-star Disappointed. $170 before tip for a JP gel manicure with cat eye and sequins. Really happy with the way my nails turned out. Aria was so patient with me and really took her time making sure I had the design I wanted. Definitely coming back :)

Been going to Mellow Bar and seeing Robert for a year+, he always does a great job and my nails last 3+ weeks and always look perfect. Would strongly recommend Robert + Mellow Bar to anyone looking for long lasting gel manicures.

After a month (of serious use!) my nails still looked great! Got the Japanese gel with Stephanie and really appreciated her work and thought the price was more than reasonable. First 2 pics are the same day (with bad train lighting), then the next 2 are how they look 4 weeks later after spending a day repairing a toilet, babysitting a teething puppy for a week, traveling cross-country, and having typing heavy job. The only major knick is where I got my thumb with a knife while cooking. This was my first Japanese gel manicure and I'm a convert!

I’m really disappointed with how my nails turned out and the service. From the beginning I waited a few minutes extra because my nail technician was behind. She was rushing and flustered and didn’t execute my nail design which was from their own look book on their website. I get they are supposed to look abstract but the nails look sloppy and nothing like the reference photos. She was cleaning my nails on top of a previous clients nail dust and got up to go pick up her food order. I had to tell her to fix some spots that she missed with paint and some spots that got messed up. These were my birthday nails and they are already chipping after 2 days because she failed to put the top coat on the edge of my nail. I’m really sad and disappointed because I spent $143 + tip for nails that are a
