I just got my first cut from Ash. I have had so much trauma my entire life from having curly hair and getting it cut; I can tell you now Ash really healed a great deal! She spent so much time looking at my hair and chatting with me before cutting. My cut is perfect for my natural curly hair routine and I loved it instantly (which honestly never happens) Not only is she talented but she’s a great energy and convo to experience! AND HER SHOP IS SO SWEET AND CUTE! 11/10

100 million stars!!!! I first found Ash five years ago on a random trip to Portland when I was 16 with a 40 year old’s haircut-I left feeling completely transformed. I didn’t (and still don’t) live in Portland but refuse to get my haircut by anyone else. My mom travels up from Lake Tahoe, NV and I come up from Southern California. Over the past 5 years, I’ve LOVED every cut and color she’s given me. I’ve followed her to a handful of salons and feel honored to have watched her grow as a person and as a stylist. Melodream is an absolute gem! Beautiful furniture and art, size inclusive chairs and a jungle’s worth of pants. I've been seeing Jessica Lynn for months now, going through two hair colors so far AND growing it out with an undercut! I absolutely love working with Jess through these journeys 😭 absolutely so sweet and funny, remembers things about me (which I know is hard because of how many people stylists get in their chair), and is so helpful when it comes to talking through issues I want to address with my hair and the different stages it's going through. The salon is also super cute!

This is the best salon I have ever been to. I worked with Ash, who not only made me feel extremely comfortable, but was able to understand how I wanted to change my hair. Ash was able to cut and style my hair exactly as I imagined, and I received A LOT of compliments on my hair for months. I really had a fun time and everyone is super nice there. If I still lived in Oregon it would be my go-to place for my hair needs.

This review is for Brittany . Brittany gave me the best cut and color I’ve ever had , especially considering what she had to work with . When I came to see her, my hair was a hot mess. The roots were this horrible black cherry color, the ends were fried to shit and almost blue black box dyed. I hadn’t had a professional cut in probably 10 years. She was quickly able to transform my mess into something workable . Within 15 minutes of sitting down my hair looked and felt so much better and by the end of the cut / dye, she was able to give me a lovely dark base color and beautiful subtle highlights .
