My experience with Marie Larkins has been nothing but exceptional because she has taken the time to get to know my hair and me as a person. Her knowledge of color is extraordinary. Four years ago, she took me from dark brown to blond, and I have not looked back. Not only is she an expert at color, she has taken the time to build a relationship with me when I knew no one in Portland. Marie, is an incredible professional and an amazing human being with a huge heart.

MeRae's is the place to go if you are experiencing hair loss. The hair growth system that she uses really works. My sides and the top of my hair had been very thin, but after just a few treatments the hair started to fill in and it was very noticeable. I highly recommend investing in this treatment if you have thinning hair or hair loss.

Merae knows curls! Hands down the most knowledgeable, intuitive and kind hairdresser I've ever had. Merae could tell my nutritional deficiencies by looking at my hair! She knows what each curl is capable of and its specific limitations. She really delivers! I wanted to try out a shaggy cut with bangs and get all the dead off. I'm very pleased with the outcome and will go back for hair growth treatment.

I’ve gone to Merae’s twice. The first time I cut most of my hair off and the look was cute and the second time I went back in for some maintenance and layering. She didn't dry my hair because it was “too hot” and when it fully dried, two hours later, the layers were extremely choppy and uneven and now I cry getting ready everyday because I can’t just leave my hair out. I expressed I did not want a side part and she still cut my hair as such. The second hair cut which was shoulder length costed me $115 with NO blow drying. I am a college student and I do not have money. A haircut not done by Supercuts is a luxury to me, so it was just a really sad experience. Will not be going again unfortunately.
