Unless you want to get a raging fingernail infection, do not go here. I have been getting manicures done for many years. Every place I have ever been always soaks the fingernails in warm soapy water or uses oils before pushing cuticles back and cutting them. This girl pushed my cuticles back dry and then cut them and left me bleeding. When I nicely explained to her you can't do it dry, you need to soak them first to prevent trauma and infection, she ignored me and continued on. When I told her I'm done, she got upset and told her parents the owners. When I explained what happened they still did not see anything wrong with doing it dry. Now known as Cafe Nails. The staff are so friendly and sweet. The location is outside of sleeping giant so you can enjoy the beauty of outdoors from inside with their floor to ceiling windows. Beautiful beams inside give it a cabin feel. They even have a little coffee bar that is complementary for those who use their services! I’ll be coming back again in the future.

WORST PLACE IVE EVER BEEN IN MY LIFE!!!!! It all started when I called and asked if they did acrylic fills and they said yes (THEY WERE LYING). They ended up ripping my previous set off (causing me to gush blood) and putting a new set on. Instead of putting acrylic on, they put that SNS powder on which I never asked for. On top of all of that, all my nails ended up different lengths and shapes. When I went to pay I asked if they gave discounts for Quinnipiac students. She said yes but not for the services I got. Ended up paying $75 for half of the nails to fall off in less than a week and for stuff I never asked for. I WILL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN.

I've been to so many nail salons throughout my life but I was never satisfied until I found Mina's. I have been going to Mina's for the past 3 years and I am always so happy with how well they do. I get gel powder for my nails and they always last and have never broken. The nail technicians always do a fantastic thorough job with my nails and my toes when I get a pedicure. The environment is so relaxing I always look forward to going there. Mina is so sweet and always very accommodating. I would recommend this nail salon to everyone in the Hamden area. Truly wonderful service and excellent work!
