I went in nervous to try a new stylist, especially with my situation! I had made the classic mistake of using boxed dye and expecting my hair to look like the picture! 🤣BUT Nicole literally rescued my hair. I brought in a picture of Lindsay Lohan where she has the color red I always dreamed of. And to say Nicole nailed it, is a true understatement!!! 🥹

Notice: The timing here is laughable. Immediately after I posted my truthful negative review, Minkx Salon suddenly gained a stack of 5-star reviews in a single day—after barely being reviewed at all. That doesn’t happen organically. Looks like a desperate attempt to drown out and bury legitimate criticism by recruiting friends, family, or anyone willing to post praise on command. This is dishonest, manipulative, and completely unethical. Instead of owning poor work and unprofessional conduct, Nicole chose to game the review system and mislead the public. That behavior alone confirms exactly why consumers should be cautious doing business w/Nicole. But I digress…. Such a great hidden gem near Carolina Beach. Nicole is THE BEST. She has taken me from blonde, brunette, red, blonde highlights..everything. Always gets it spot on to what I am looking for. Also great to have conversations with! It used to take at least 4 hours for someone to do my hair. A whole day process. Not with Nicole, you are in there half the amount of time which is amazing. I do not have to feel like half of my work day is lost b/c of me getting my hair done. She cuts my daughter's hair as well. My little one loves her. I know there was one really weird random bad review about her. No one can make everyone happy. That is how it is with any situation. Always love getting my hair done by Nicole at minkx salon! Shes very knowledgeable at hair and being gentle on my hair while we go blonde. Shes always professional, kind and I enjoy my time in her chair. My young daughter has also got her hair cut here and even got fairy hair and was feeling like a total princess! I would recommend this salon to anyone for your hair needs!

I’ve been going to Nicole to get my hair done for almost 5 years, following her from her spot at Karisma to her own salon, Minkx. I have been completely satisfied. She listens to what you want, makes good style recommendations based on my hair type, and gives great advice on hair products. I have never been dissatisfied with her services and I highly recommended her!
