Mirage Hair Salon

I have been an Aveda client all over including in Pasadena, West Covina, and Arcadia locations. I moved to Simi Valley and I am looking for a hair salon. I walked into this location excited that there is one in this area. As soon as I walked in, I felt these negative unwelcoming stares and about 30 seconds after, one of them hesitantly asked “Can I help you” while she continued her task. Right away I felt the negative energy and as mentioned, I did not feel welcomed here. She then told me point blank they don’t assist walk ins. You have to call to get an appointment. Ok, I guess I’m not coming back again. I guess if you want an appointment, it’s best to just call. But from the reaction, I don’t think they want new customers.

I had my hair cut by Irene Smylie today. She listened to what I wanted in a haircut / what my vocational lifestyle requires, took her time in cutting my hair, and even mentioned during the haircut if I wanted anything different she would change it for me. She was not in a hurry with me. I really appreciated that she took time with the cut and style, and even gave me pointers on styling. Very positive experience 👍

My hairstylist Estela, is the best. I've been going to her for years, and she just knows me so well that she knows exactly what I ask for. I always leave feeling so refreshed and alive. :)

I told Linda I would not put a bad review on.But.. And I am starting with the color was awesome. But I also had a what I thought was a Brazilian blow out. I guess it was another type of product. I sent a text a few days after because I noticed that right behind on the right of my ear was curly not straight. I have had Brazilians for years. The reply was someplaces are harder to get to. That was it..335$ and short of 2 months later I am searching again for a Real Brazilian the ones that last more 8 weeks. I have had most last at least 4 to 6 months So color awesome Brazilian not so good. And the reply text I received just upset me not even come in and let her fix it. Eventually after a text exchange she offered. By that time I was to angry Update Wow took 10 months for reply Yes I said I

This place is wonderful! I love that they use Aveda products and have top notch stylists who deliver amazing results. I live in CO but visit family regularly in CA and this is the only place I will go. Lexi and Linda are so talented. Absolutely love it and recommend this place.
