I booked 11/11 for Box Braid Boho Braids. The braids are nice however I requested for my human hair to be at my tips because I was looking more for the wavy or slight curly hair to be on tips leaving no kankelon out. They tried to say oh we will create the wavy look with the rods..ok as I still suggested this is the look I was looking for but they insisted it will need another bundle but if they use their method it would still come out as I want. Well it didn’t however I couldn’t sit any longer to get it fixed being the time frame so I settled and left but I’m highly upset at these bouncy curls sitting on my back when I was looking for a more straight with a slight wave or curl at my ends. Now my ends of my braids are super curled at the tip making it heavy. I requested Boho Box they gave

so I rarely do reviews but I wanted to write one about this shop. Ive been going here for a while and most of the time, the hairstylists are extremely aggressive with your hair and have attitudes especially when you don’t understand them or comprehend what they are telling you. this isn’t racist in anyway as someone with African roots but their accent is very strong sometimes it’s hard to pick up certain words then they get rude with you when you ask them to repeat themselves. Not to mention, every time Ive been there and get a style, the very day or two after, there’s either a braid coming apart or coming loose. quite over price sometimes

I like Miriam Hair Braiding Salon. I've been several times and I get knotless braids (medium or small/medium). I think the ladies do a good job. If you're looking for a spa experience it's not that, but if you're looking for a place where you can get some nice braids that last then this is a place to strongly consider. I work a non traditional schedule, so I try to go on any day but Saturday and I try to get there early with my hair washed and ready to go.

As a long term customer of over 15 years I have been extremely pleased with services received at Miriam’s. The consistency and skill of the braiders, fair prices and pleasant atmosphere keeps me coming back. Miriam leads in excellence.

The first time I went, they did a good job. My hair and hair color blended well and it was done right. Yesterday I went again and it was very unprofessional. My braids at the end are very unevenly cut. Some short, some long. Then the lady dipped almost all of my braids into the hot water instead of just the ends and then rubbed it several times with a towel. This caused my real hair to frizz up in the back and it’s like an eye sore in person. It’s a mess in the back!! Also they make you hold the hair and give you nothing but attitude. Do not go here, they are very rude. Definitely not worth what they are charging.
