Missy Braids

The worst experience and the worst braids I ever had in my life. Not to mention I had to wait an hour once I arrived for the lady to finish someone’s hair. She was braiding horribly, she was rushing and her parts weren’t straight. And had the nerve to charge 125 just to braid the side of my hair. Can’t do designs can’t part straight and barely can braid. Do not waste your money, please

My original hairstylist canceled on me the same day of my appointment, which was extremely inconvenient because I had already taken my hair down, washed it, blow-dried it, and was fully ready to get it braided. I was honestly frustrated and sitting in my bed pouting. I decided to search Google and came across Missy’s Braiding Salon. I read the reviews and gave Missy a call. She answered right away, was very pleasant, and told me I could come right in. About 25 minutes later, I arrived and was seated immediately. They asked what I wanted, and I told them I wanted medium knotless braids to my butt (I’m almost six feet tall). They gave me the price upfront — $275 — with no issues or surprises. I had a perfect experience. I was a walk in late on a Friday night, and was greeted with warm welcomes. Everyone was very friendly, and that hasn’t been my experience with too many salons. I’m very thankful for their professionalism and performance on top of their kindness. I walked out looking and feeling the exact way I wanted to.

I wasn’t going to give five stars at first due to a minor inconvenience, however the owner was very apologetic & other than that the vibes were great & all the women were very pleasant & nice. I was there longer than expected but I love my hair. I got a little past shoulder length boho knotless braids. I brought my own human hair. Braiding hair is provided with the cost which in my case was $255 which was money well spent. I would recommend my family & friends.

Do not come here!! I would give this rating a zero if I could.This was an extremely unprofessional environment for starters. I booked an appointment weeks in advance and arrived on time with my hair washed blow dried and ready to go. Tell me why I’m waiting for over four hours. I left got something to eat and they were still not ready to do my hair completely unprofessional strike number two when it’s finally time for me to sit down and do my hair I was met with a rude attitude. Not only that there is a level of uncleanliness… there are braided walking around with their shoes off and the shop has an unpleasant odor.
