James is an amazing hair stylist / barber. Even better is he is a good hearted person. Best experience and hair cut I have had. Him and his wife are good kind hearted talented people. I will be definitely coming back.

James and Sarah are both very capable and creative stylists. Their salon may only be a year old, but they're both very experienced, talented, and well known in WNY. This salon is their dream come true, built on years of hard work. I've had fantasy color work (dye) done for years by Sarah, and she always protects my hair, ensuring that it remains both vibrant and healthy, despite how many colors I insist on trying. She uses high quality products and appropriate techniques. James is a super talented stylist and artist, you can see his work all over the salon. They're both super down to earth, welcoming, and warm. I love getting my hair done, but usually hate that fancy salon attitude, hence why MJ Rose is perfect for me, the best quality without the stuffy vibe.

James is really great. He’s talented and takes time to listen so that he understands what you want, but also gives great feedback in regards to the type of hair you have, the shape of your face, and what might suit you best. I’m so happy to have been referred to him. And the salon itself is relaxing and comfortable with great music. Highly recommended!

This was my first time, and I will definitely be returning. I wear a pixie cut and have been looking for a new salon and stylist. I didn't want to continue going to a barber but also didn't want to spend a ridiculous amount of money. I did a lot of searching and found MJ Rose and was able to book an 8am Saturday appointment (love this time slot). Sarah and Annabelle (their beautiful rescue dog) welcomed me and Sarah spent time talking about what I was looking for. The cut was spot on, and I also appreciated the time she took explaining different products and her recommendations for using them. It was a great experience, and I should also mention that the salon itself is super cool, love how open it is and all the artwork.

Sarah and James at MJ Rose are the best. They are such experts and I am so happy to have this salon on Hertel. I have been seeing Sarah for a while now for cuts, but recently decided to color my hair for the first time and she did the most amazing job. I didn't really know how to explain what I wanted, but I was at ease knowing Sarah would take good care of me. She is a pro, and is so kind and easy to talk to! Highly recommend this salon!
