Modern Nails

I usually go to small, independent techs for my lash and nail services because the quality is much better, but this day it was a last minute decision and I was desperate to get my lashes and nails removed. Everyone here was friendly, but unfortunately, the quality matched the low price. The man who removed my nails took off all the acrylic, but then kept filing down my natural nails unnecessarily (see photos 1, 2, & 3). I also noticed that he used the same e-file with the same nail bit from his last client. I’m not sure if it was sanitized/disinfected but I wouldn’t be surprised if it wasn’t. The woman who removed my lashes was rough—she scrubbed the remover so aggressively that it kept getting into my eyes, burning them. Great location for pedis which you can jazz up with extras. I have been here several times. Enjoy the chairs. Always a great experience.

Thalia did an exceptional job with my nails!! She took me as a walk-in. My nails were in dire shape. She is very focused and pays attention to detail.

I have been here a small handful of times since living in Durham for the past 10 years, but I have always had an excellent experience when I come in and tonight was no different. Michael was incredible about making sure I was comfortable and my pedicure came out great. Everything was clean and they had clean tools and materials!

Not sure who I had, but they flooded the end of my thumb nail and attempted to fix it but left gel ON MY SKIN. it also looks like I got them done last week! The ends of my nails feel rough and when I asked them to fix it he just shrugged. The only positive thing about this experience is that they were very good with the e file about not filing too thin.
