Meg at Moongold is the BEST! I love how she cuts my hair, and how she listens and provides suggestions. She is easy to talk to, detail-oriented, and extremely skilled at what she does. I have long, heavy hair and Meg does a great job creating movement and maintaining my bangs. I would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone, and have referred friends to her! Truly worth every penny.

I’ve been Meg’s client for a few years now and she’s never done me wrong. My hair is thin, straight, and naturally dirty blonde — she works very well with it. Through the years, she’s given me a faux mullet, bangs, foils, bleached eyebrows, shaved sides, and a regular trim. Every cut has been terrific! And she’s able to do very thin highlights (expect to be in the chair for a few hours). What I appreciate most about Meg is that she listens! I spew a bunch of directions and send her a plethora of images, pointing out different traits from each. She’s able to absorb, understand, and execute.

Meg is the blonde whisperer! My hair is fairly fine and I’m always wanting a much lighter shade than my natural dirty blonde color. I can show Meg a picture of the color I’m hoping to achieve and she exceeds my expectations every time. I also prioritize keeping my hair strong, healthy and long (a tall order for blondes) and Meg has been the first colorist and stylist to let me reach those goals. Her skill and expertise, particularly in blonding, is the best of the best. Added perk: Moongold is such a rad space and Meg is so fun to chat with while she turns you into a blonde bombshell! I always look forward to my hair appointments!

From the moment you walk into Moongold, Meg goes above and beyond to make your experience more than a just a cut or color. The space is such a vibe and Meg takes the time to understand what you’re looking for, sharing her creative vision. And then she executes flawlessly. I’ve been a client of Meg’s for over 20 years, and now living on the west coast, I make it a priority to schedule a service when visiting NYC! A definite must to get on her books asap!

Every time I go see Meg, the results are jaw-dropping, envy-inducing, and just all around excellent. She’s such a pro and always knows exactly what you need and we always end up chatting and laughing the entire time through. Great cut, great vibes, great person. 10/10 every time!
