Nadine's Hair Braiding

I visited this shop last minute and decided to give it a try despite seeing mixed reviews online. I brought my own Burmese curly hair and Kanekalon hair. Over the phone, I was initially quoted $200 due to my hair being shaved in the back. However, upon arriving, the price was changed to $230, along with an additional $40 late-night fee, which was not mentioned beforehand. Had I known about this fee in advance, I would have adjusted my timing accordingly. I asked the front desk staff to ensure I was paired with a skilled stylist and was reassured that I would be taken care of. The service was very quick and my hair looks great BUT I went in for Jumbo knotless. The hair stylist advised me against that style since my hair is not permed. I then showed her a Large knotless Boho picture and she said that would work! Cool :) they start my head from the back forward and I end up with medium to a shmedium boho. Again it looks great, but I wanted larger and shower a picture of way larger parts and braids. They also did not ask if I wanted human hair which if I was on a budget they should have considered…

I’d give this place 0 stars if I could. Worst experience of my life!!! I’m celebrating my 32nd birthday. A birthday they ruined because I had to celebrate it with a ratty mess on my head. I came in with a picture of exactly what I wanted. Asha explained I couldn’t do medium braids because the length of my hair. I agreed to smedium. Asha and her colleagues were such in a rush to get started on my head they didn’t properly give me a consultation to ensure I got the style I wanted. They also requested I remove my glasses. I obliged. But I couldn’t see what was being done. Needless to say I got out the chair looking a frizzy mess and unpolished. As a licensed cosmetologist myself, this place’s service is atrocious. I tried Nadine’s new shop and I had a great experience. Came in around 1pm , checked in, got seated right away. I asked for smedium knotless, butt length and paid 350. I tipped my braiders an extra 70. They finished in 4 hrs. When I noticed I was near an outlet , I asked if I could run to my car to get my laptop so I could get work done while getting my hair done and they said of course. I was able to get a lot done in that chair 😂. Nadine has been doing my hair since she started in her basement and I’m so proud of how far she has come. I heard so many mixed reviews about the new shop so I had to come see for myself . 10/10

I just visited this location for the first time yesterday 2/6/2026, and I asked for what was in the first picture and walked out with sloppy braids boho hair falling out. This is unacceptable and they having the worst braiding technique I have ever seen I my life. I ask them to take it down and they try to come up with every excuse in the world to get me not to take down and pay$300 for this crap. I’m so disappointed that they are allowing these women to say in business with this horrible braiding. It’s all about the money and never the quality with these ppl anymore. I remember going to a braiding shop and leaving out satisfied. This is no longer in these days and times. She needs to get her braiders some training on braiding. I can show them. No lie.
