I just found my new favorite nail salon. Ivy handled my nails with care and amazing attention to detail. She created exactly what I was looking for and I am so impressed by the way she shaped my nails. I love my raindrop/bubble nails!

I would give zero stars if I could . I received a gift card for my birthday so I made an appointment for a gel manicure with Chery . I arrived to my appointment and she was frazzled , she said it had been very busy. She started to remove my gel with the drill which is always a bad sign . The proper way to remove gel is by soaking ( after removing the top layer with a file or drill which). A couple nails in I told her it was hurting and she seemed to be rushing. She said she wasn’t rushing , she had an hour to work with me and that she could soak my nails for an extra $15 which I of course declined. $15 is insane in itself, but even more so to do something they’re supposed to do anyway . By the time she got to my thumb the drill skipped three times which hurt and I just said “ we’re done

It was my sister’s birthday and I wanted to get her nails done here. She came back home crying because the owner was SO RUDE and didn’t listen to her when she said she was in pain! They charged my card mid appointment and threatened her to not do her nails.

Nail Box is my go-to nail salon! They know how to do everything especially on trend stuff like: chrome, hard gel/builder gel, intricate nail art/design, and gel X, (which is hard to find in San Mateo!) I go to Ananya for my finger nails - she’s the best! & Cherry for my toes, also amazing!! I see other nail artists here do amazing work too! The salon is cute, and easy parking right across the street. I definitely recommend nail box for all your nail needs.

I love nailbox! The vibe of the place is so peaceful. I love that it isn’t your regular fast pace salon. Each artist is personable and can cater to everyone’s needs. They are more art based so prepare yourself with some good inspo photos and watch your vision come to life! The owner is super sweet and shows how much she cares. Recommending nailbox to all my family and friends!
