Nail Palace at Richmond Shopping Centre

Giving 3 stars because he did try… but this is the worst acrylic set I’ve ever gotten. I’m not loyal to any salon, I go to a different one every time - I always let them know short coffin (or narrow tapered) and always get exactly what I asked. Here I had to keep asking him to narrow them and finally resigned to a “that’s fine” because he clearly wasn’t getting it after 2 hours in the salon. I think he knew they were bad because he gave me a free cuticle oil as I was leaving. Left covered in glue and dust with ugly nails. I hardly ever complain, but I am always so excited to treat myself to an acrylic set and now I’m crying in my car instead. (The pedicure was great though! Just don’t get acrylics)

I’ve been a regular here for years and always loved coming when Andy was around - he was my favorite tech. Net and Jake are also wonderful. Unfortunately, my recent experience wasn’t the same. The technician I had struggled to understand my preferences, especially when it came to nail shape. I have very very small nail beds, and the tips used were too wide, which made the final look feel bulky and disproportionate. I did try to communicate that they were too wide, but there was a language barrier. At one point, I said “I don’t know,” and I believe it was misunderstood as “I don’t care.” I’d really appreciate being scheduled with a tech who understands my requests more clearly and can file my nails thinner to better fit my hands. Came in last Saturday when they were pretty busy. I don’t mind the wait at all but please do not rush on my nails just because you have others waiting in the lobby. I have 2 crooked nails, both being the thumbs and doesn’t show well in pictures, NO work was done to my cuticles, and the underneath of my nails from the drippings of acrylic was not cleaned up. Also, my right middle finger nail has acrylic up to the skin on the finger and is now lifting causing EVERYTHING to get snagged on it. I’m new to Richmond and this is the first nail salon I decided on trying out since I get my nails and toes done every 2-3 weeks. Needless to say, I chose wrong for my first pick in this town. I’ve read other really good reviews on this salon and I’m definitely upset that I ended up with this outcome when

Breeze is absolutely awesome and very talented!! He pays attention to the little details and is very gentle and patient. Definitely would recommend going just to see him.

I’ve lived in Richmond for almost 7 years. Nail palace is my fav place! They’ve helped my nails grow stronger and take very good care of me! I love the pedicures! They do such a good job! This is what I got today!
