Nail Salon Tech

Came in to get my nails done for vacation and had to goto another nail salon to get them fixed. I showed a picture of what I wanted, the lady proceeded to do my full set only showing me a finger once or twice. I thought it looked fine and wanted to trust the process. She cut my length before I could say yes or no so they are way shorter than I wanted or thought. My cuticles are raw and bleeding and burn even an hour plus later from her not using the tool correctly. I even have a cut on one finger. The amount of times I had to hold in a yelp of pain was insane. She tried to end the service before putting on the gems I wanted (pictured) which I assumed that they had since she “looked” at the picture and acted like she knew what she was doing. I came here about a month ago and had a mani, pedi. The lady who did the pedi was amazing! This was the first time I’ve ever left a salon feeling blissful as she used hot stones to massage my lower legs. She did a wonderful job! 5 stars to the hot stone lady! Now, the lady who did my nails, did not listen to my request, I rate her at 3 stars. I explained that I did not want acrylic nails, yet that’s exactly what I got! Uneducated about nails, I trusted her to build the color onto my nails. I assumed that the blobs of opaque powder was gel, I did not know this was actually acrylic. She filed off the previous and built upon that. She filed low and I felt uncomfortable pain with the sanding. The nails were rounded and looked thick on top and not natural looking. Went in for a Dip manicure and the dip color was not the right color and so the nail tech just did a super messy layer of gel on top of the dip layers that is streaky and bubbly. I didn’t have time to ask for it to be redone since the “5-10min wait” was actually about 25-30mins and we had other plans for the day.

It would not let me do zero stars. If you are darker toned, tread lightly. I walked in with my caucasian friend who’s pedicure lasted 15 mins longer than mine with the lady forcing me into a color i did not like. When i refused she yelled at me that she has no time to change the color. At the end i wanted to pay for my friend as a gift but the cashier started yelling that i should include a tip. Here is our combined 70 dollar pedicure with 20 dollar forced tip (which might i add was announced out loud to the whole shop).

I absolutely love my nails for vacation, Twan always does such a wonderful job.
