Nail Style

The whole appointment was a mess. After my nail tech was done with acrylic, I asked for the stripped design. She said she could do it. She started painting my full nails gray. I asked if we were still doing the design. She said yes. She in fact was not doing that. Then she attempted the strips 3 times and wasn’t able to do it without a stencil, which they did not have. So we changed the design to the green set, but I kept the gray color because it felt like i was being annoying. I ended up with the gray set still not looking like the photo, and my thumb nails were not straight. I left with gel polish on my cuticles and was charged $95 for it. They are the BEST!!!! Vin & Li do an amazing job!!! We have a mother/daughter pedicures every month with them! It’s clean, nice, great atmosphere, great TV shows to watch, they’re so friendly, caring and it’s just perfect! They’ve become family!!! Also, got dip for the first time! Vin is AMAZING!!! $90 for an almond medium acrylic French tip… no apex, different lengths, the lady didn’t check for evenness one time during the whole process, passive aggressiveness when i asked nicely for her to correct small things like making the arch higher, and to cut the false nails she applied a little shorter. When i asked her to cut the tips shorter she made a comment to her co worker in their language and the worker asked why didn’t i tell her to do it before she finished shaping them and that it would make the process longer. Girl ur the professional….. how was i supposed to know ? and the French tip is so poorly done like there’s so many methods you could use to get a clean French if you can’t free hand. I’ve been a loyal customer at Nail Style since they opened, coming every 2–3 weeks and spending close to $100 or sometimes more each visit plus generous tip. Tonight, I had a small nail emergency and saw that they were still open for another 40 minutes. As soon as I walked in she sent me away without even an attempt to hear my need. I was immediately turned away. I felt humiliated and very disappointed. I thought over time I had built a good rapport. A simple hi, acknowledgment of concern or even offering to schedule me, would have gone a long way but instead, the response was dismissive and rude. I will not be returning. You lost a customer today.

I’m not trying to be mean but do not get this lady. I’m all for seniors working but she is very slow. And I don’t even believe she has a license as a nail tech. I looked at the licensed techs on the wall and she was nowhere to be found. Or maybe she was in training. Her skills were very minimal!!!! I will never go back! The other seem to be very knowledgeable though. IJS!
