Nails For You

Came in as a walk in for powder dip. I was asked if I wanted to upgrade to add a manicure. In my experience, that includes lotion and 1 minute or so of a hand massage. Especially when asked if I wanted an “upgrade”. The nail tech used the bathroom while my nails soaked to get previous polish off, then came out without washing her hands. While painting with a clear coat, she dropped the brush on the floor then went right back to painting without cleaning it off and before I could say anything. This is probably the filthiest nail place I have been too with stained walls and all surrounding surfaces, and nail dust everywhere. When my nails were done drying, I expected the manicure part to come next. To which I was told “your done!” $80 for a dip and I had to lotion my own hands afterwards. Na

I just recently moved to Mount Vernon and have been having a hard time finding a good nail salon. I’ve tried multiple salons up here but unfortunately none of them worked out. I found nails for you and read through their reviews and decided to give them a try. WOW! I wish I had found them sooner. Kim did an amazing job and she was so helpful with explaining the different options I had to get exactly what I wanted. I will definitely be a regular here now. The customer service was exceptional and I couldn’t be happier!! Thank you so much :)

The people who own and work this shop are kind, extremely talented with nails, and very clear about pricing. It is a shop ran by a multigenerational house hold. They live upstairs and I did smell lunch for a brief moment and honestly I want whatever they were eating that day 😂 otherwise the place smelled like incense and had Frank Sinatra playing in the background. The place is beautifully decorated in an old victorian style house. I got French tip mani- pedi- for my upcoming wedding and this place is awesome! You can tell they have great procedures for cleaning equipment. The lovely woman who helped me has obviously been doing this a long time. I had an appointment today at 10:00. No one showed up to open the door until 10:15. Apparently they forgot. The owner was not very concerned about this and certainly didn’t attempt to make me feel confident. The person who did my nails was very rough, went way too fast, and my polish was sloppy. I had polish all over my toes. Please see “cleanliness” below. None of this was acceptable. All of this was very surprising because they get good reviews. I hope they were just having a bad day. But I won’t be back.

Oh my god they are so amazing! First of all, it’s family owned and they are all so kind and patient. Second, I showed them what I wanted and they helped me make it happen, they do beautiful work! I’m happy about the price point. They’re wonderful people and their work is incredibly fast and pretty!
