1. Traction Alopecia - when too tight braids and the tension causes you to lose hair. Over time I realized the braids or maybe the way they braid was causing me to lose hair particular in front. I have before and after photos . Africans always have short hair for their technique of style, and I guess they don’t know or we all learn the hard way. 2023 vs 2025 (almost exactly 3 years) I started growing my hair in summer 2022. The workers are nice but I did not like how the lady did my box braids at the ends because she didnt have the longer hair and still charged me for the longest length. If I go back I will bring my own hair. The place smell bad they need to clean up more and put out air fresheners. The prices are not bad. I paid 150 but got the 130 braids put in so that was her tip🤷🏾‍♀️....they do good box braids and twist. Didnt see anyone getting cornrows. My head was very tight when I got home I oiled it and took a hot shower and wet the front of my head, that helped alot.

I had a disappointing experience at this braiding salon. I specifically asked for my braids to be sewn tight, as I prefer them that way, and every other place I’ve been to has accommodated this without issue. However, the stylist looked at me like I was crazy, gave me a terrible attitude, and even started throwing her brushes around. To make matters worse, when I asked if she could oil my scalp, she asked if I had my own oil. This is a salon—basic hair care products like oil should be provided! The unprofessionalism and lack of customer service were unacceptable. I will not be returning and do not recommend this place to others.

They are so rude and unprofessional. I made an appointment for 10. I asked for the earliest possible and was told that’s the earliest she could do. So I agreed. Only for me to get there on time and be told she will be doing my hair once she finishes the one she’s working on. Which she just started. I told her how unprofessional that is to which she shrugged her shoulders. These ppl are so rude. They will never get my business

She hired new people to do hair and it seems as they have no clue how to braid. I went to get my hair braided 2 weeks ago had to take them out. They didn’t do it properly and overpriced for no reason. THEY BRAID TOO TIGHT smh my edges are gone Will not be going back and I do not recommend this hair salon to anyone take your money elsewhere the hair was 2 weeks old in the picture
