Customer Reviews
This isn't my first time at the salon and all prior visits were 5-star because of the stylist that I was a client; that stylist is no longer at the salon. There were several red flags on this visit and I honestly felt I was taken for $85. 1. charged $85 for a shampoo, blow dry and hair trim and the hair was not blow dried straight to the ends of the hair shaft, 2. Dr. Bronner's Peppermint Shampoo (grocery store brand) body wash /shampoo used on my hair, which immediately dried it out, 3. My hair was trimmed with the ends still in their natural, kinky-coiley state (thankful that much was not cut off - i watched in the mirror), 4. My hair was dripping wet with mouse and setting lotion when I left and I had to return home to dry my hair, 5. Stylist (Dawn) asked my name again as I was leaving.
I had an awesome experience today at Nature's Crown. I went for a consult because I didn't know what to do about my hair. My hair was damaged since my last relaxer at another salon 10 months ago and I had no clue on how to transition from it to my natural hair or what other options would be good for me. I left with a new hair style, a healthier looking hair and a smile on my face. Dawn took her time to talk with me, learn about my hair style preferences and what I was looking for. I am so glad I found this place!
Dawn did my hair. I came because all of the great reviews. I paid 85 dollars for my FIRST silk press. I was there for 3 hours and my hair is sooo frizzy. It hasn't even been a full 24 hours and I look like a poodle. She's been doing hair for 20 years but she must not have experience in Natural kinky hair. I will not be going back. This salon is for older people styles 50's up. I have a messed up haircut that makes me look 2x my age and a messed up silk press. She didn't have the proper tools for my hair I should have left then 🤷🏽♀️
I called! Spoke with Miss Dawn! And she was so professional! Not to mention their kindness made me feel very comfortable; very well educated in her feild; so is her daughter! Who's just as professional and well educated as her mother! The atmosphere is soooo peaceful! I was well educated about my natural hair! I'm going back when I'm done with what I was told to do with my hair! And I would Recommend their services to others as well! Thank You 😊 Miss Dawn and Your daughter too! I look forward to seeing you all soon 😊! Your New Customer Juanita 💪🏾🙏🏾🙋🏾♀️
Dawn did an awesome job on my natural hair. She gave me a consultation first and gave good advise on the maintenance of my hair. She is very knowledgeable and I would definitely recommend her.
