Nevada State Barbers Health

Beware if you are trying to transfer your license from out of state. These people are money hungry and extremely rude and unprofessional. They will give you the run around and require so much money even if you have the hours and experience. Please believe these other negative comments. They do not want barbers to come here be educated and succeed- it’s all business and money to them and something needs to change for the barber community here.

I called around 420pm one day on a tuesday, asked if i could come down in 10 mins for a haircut if they had time, the lasy on the phone said sure come down, i showed up at 430pm, no other customers were there just the barber sitting wit his feet up watching tv. I asked for a haircut and he said he was done for the day...you close at 5pm how are you done for the day lmao

This is a great state agency and I had the wonderful opportunity to serve as a model for the exam today in Las Vegas! Such a professional group of guys and gals that are in the room judging those future hair stylists. You can feel the nerves of the potential stylists and truly hear a "comb" drop, as they are under a huge amount of pressure as that great crew of judges look on. So nice to see a State agency that really has their act together, and I encourage anyone who can give up a couple hours of their time, to volunteer as I did as a model, and see how the board really does serve the State of Nevada so well, and witness what the future holds with regard to our upcoming stylists. Two thumbs up to all involved in the process. So much fun to be a part of it. Well done.

Barber is lazy and doesn't want your business. I came in at 11:20 and the only person there was the barber playing w his phone. Nobody getting a hair cut and nobody waiting. After a moment on his phone, he finally asked me "are you Phil?" Me: no Barber: do you have an appointment? M: no B: you have to have an appointment M: ok B: are you Donald? At this point I just walk out. It was a passive aggresive way to refuse service and I can take a hint

Great place. Got a haircut and a shave for 15 bucks. I give her 20 and keep the change. She has been cutting hair for 40 years. Small business Tuesday.. If u need a cut go sée her. She barely makes it with rent prices going up.
