I HIGHLY recommend Jenn and Newfound Hair Company! The staff is so kind and welcoming, and the space is clean, cozy and beautifully decorated. I’ve been getting my hair done by Jenn for awhile now and she nails it everytime. Jenn is a master of her craft and she really takes the time to listen to you and understand what you are looking for. You can tell Jenn’s highest priority is the satisfaction of her clients and she takes pride in her work. I have nothing but good things to say about this place!

went to nina with a vision for “lived in bronde” meets “edgy bleach color blocking” and she far exceeded my expectations. she’s a talent artist, feels like a friend, and the salon itself is beautiful. it’s designed perfectly for its location, tying in nautical and historical design elements, blending beautifully with the historical nature of the old port. there was no pressure to add on extra pricey services or products, which goes a long way in my book for developing a “long term relationship” with a salon. i never thought much about the chemicals behind hair styling, so it being a nontoxic salon was an added bonus, but now that ive found nina and newfound i wont be going back

Really had the greatest experience at Newfound. The space is absolutely gorgeous - really warm and welcoming, which is so different than a lot of the more all-white-everything spots I’ve been to. Nina was really wonderful and listened to what I wanted (and didn’t want!). She fixed my hack job home haircut and made it look like an actual hairstyle I chose. She was really great to chat with as well, and made me comfortable the entire way through. Highly recommend!

This salon has a magical vibe to it. Wavy has subtly woven her nautical theme in the decor and created a welcoming atmosphere for her staff and clients. Brittanie has been my therapist-I mean STYLIST-for several years and I cannot describe my feelings of joy when it sit in her chair and allow her to flex her creative muscles. The location of Newfound Hair couldn’t be more convenient, nestled in a quiet block in the Old Port. I am looking forward to my next visit and a warm cup of tea with my soulmates at this salon!

I went into Newfound Hair Co. after a disaster with another stylist. Nina was so kind and understanding, but also honest in telling me that in order to correct the problems, she'd have to cut it very short, much shorter than I'd normally prefer, but that it could grow out nicely. And she was right. The whole experience gave me much needed comfort and affirmation at a time when things were quite difficult, not just with my hair. I left feeling cute and peaceful. Now it's been a few weeks. The cut has grown a little and settled and I love love love it! She's incredibly talented with both hair and humans. It's obvious that the whole salon is held to the same high standard. I think you can trust any of their stylists to do an excellent job with your hair and your heart.
