Nica & Sam Hair Salon

I really dislike leaving negative reviews, but my hair was botched so bad I wouldn't want to wish this on my worst enemy-- so PLS READ before visiting. I had 4 short days in NYC and wanted to get my split ends trimmed. I made an appt with Nica & Sam Salon after seeing the glowing reviews. They took me in the same day with an older Russian lady named Nicole. Nicole was stoic, inexpressive, and dismissive, even when I tried to make small talk (but that's ok I thought--not related to quality or haircuts). I requested for toning + cut. Nicole cut my hair rather quickly and then proceeded to do a blowout (+heated curling iron) without asking me. By the time I noticed, I asked her to stop since I didn't request that, and she said that she already did half of my hair so just let her finish. It

We called the same morning, and the lady from the front desk was very helpful and booked our time. We wanted a trimmed for a new fresh look, and we loved it! Thank you!

I absolutely love my experience at this salon! Nica was my stylist, she is extremely talent and delivered an amazing job with my hair, love the result! I plan to come back and I definitely would recommend this place. Amazing service with clean and confortable environment. Thank you so much!

My first experience trying a new salon and it was fantastic. Friendly and professional service to book an appointment. Sam was my stylist and did such a great job with my haircut!! Based on a photo for the look that I wanted, Sam captured the style so well. Really positive experience and fun. Glad I found this spot and I plan to go back for my next haircut. Cost is very reasonable and it's a local shop that's been in the neighborhood for 15 years!
