Nina African Hair Braiding

I have been coming to Nina for years and she doesn't disappoint. She has a light touch when braiding and they styles always come out as requested!

I discovered this shop was close to my home, and I've had my hair braided about 4 times now. I love these ladies. They are about their business. You don't have any of the "issue" you find in other shops - no kids running around, no braiders on their phones instead of on your head - they are professionals. The service is always consistent and quality. The pricing is fair and they treat you with respect. I will continue to patronize this braid shop. Terrible experience! I made the mistake of taking my 10 year old daughter to this shop. I explained to them that I had just taken down the front of her hair from a tribal braid style and I only wanted them to braid the front half to match the back box braids. I was clear about my daughter’s edges being sensitive and that I did not want them tight. The back braids were a nice size and allowed her real hair to support the weight of the braid. The owner and the woman actually doing the braids agreed. I returned to find my daughter’s brains and edges braided so tight that you could see the skin curling out of place!!!! My daughter even said that they were too tight. Not to mention, there were so many braids crowded in the front of her head she looked like a 65 year old woman wearing a braid wi

Mrs. Nina did an amazing job on my daughter's hair today. It is so beautiful and she did it just how we wanted. Very talented, professional, and dedicated to what she does. Thank you so much.!! I will be back for my box braids. ☺

I've been going to them for quite some time and the owner Nina does a great job. I'm not sure who she has coming to help her when it requires more than one person but it is definitely hit or miss the last two times they have failed to deliver. Here I am a week later with Senegalese twists that are unraveling in the middle of my head and the entire front two rows have all slipped off or hanging on by a string this has not happened before and I definitely will not be returning. Last set of braids they completed at different lengths and I had to go back for it to be fixed after I was as specific I like my braids the same length. Again the braids Nina does are fine whoever she has helping her are TERRIBLE
