Customer Reviews
I regularly get my toes and hands done and Jenny does an excellent job. The regular polish lasts for two weeks. I love the soft touch at the end, you are treated to a 30 second shoulder massage. The owner is exceptionally friendly and I am new to the neighborhood but really enjoy going there to have my nails painted. I’d recommend NY Bella for your standard nail services.
Know before you go—basic components of mani/pedis have an upcharge here. When I went to the polish wall, they pointed to several sections of polish that were an extra dollar amount—starting at $4 and going up to about $9. It seemed that anything I picked would add to my tab. My Zoya color that I picked incurred an extra $4, and I’m not sure why—not gel; Zoya is fairly standard too. The pedicure felt like a scam. A pedicure is supposed to remove calluses at a basic level. She pointed to a sign that showed a $12 upcharge for a callous treatment. I declined this, saying that the standard pedi would be fine. She didn’t file my feet for more than 5 seconds. A quick skim/once over with a plastic file is not sufficient nor is it appropriate. She also put a menu in my hand to upsell massages and o
Not a good experience. Too rushed and sloppy; had to keep pointing out issues with the mani and pedi, and was hurt with the cuticle cutter. The worst part is that they try to push you to buy extras, over and over again… It’s really annoying. And at the end they force you to pay a 20% tip (which I usually leave anyway, but the fact that they insist on it after poor service is shameful). Not going back.
I wish I read the reviews earlier. I had similar experience: came for mani-pedi with my friend and we ended up paying $290! I actually do not mind paying people what they deserve for their hard work, BUT I do mind being made a fool of and taken for a ride. At some point they asked me if I want a mini-massage, I said no, but got it anyways. I tipped 10% of the shocking amount, but the manicurist demanded that I tip 20%...and in cash. I hope people read this review and don't get fooled the same way. Be aware.
The girls are rude, nails were rushed and Sloppy. The experience was not good. Tried twice and both times was cute and bleeding with the cuticle sheers. When asked to be more gentle was spoken to rudely. Didn’t leave tip and before I left was told to leave a tip. Horrible experience!!!!!
