Update Butterfly Braids has a Groupon special that I purchased. I make my appointment confirmed with the owner via social media. When I arrived she never opened the door, she did not respond to my phone calls,and she did not respond to my messages on Instagram. Groupon gave me a refund after I contacted them informing them I am outside of her business waiting to get my hair styled. I never received any form of communication as I waiting for an hour outside her business which is her home. This was supposed to be my second visit. Butterfly Braids is the go to Queen for Goddess locs and braids. I am very impressed with how fast installation was. Alaya provides the hair and hair accessories all you have to do is show up and pay. I highly advise yo to leave a deposit to secure your appointment

True Artist 🎨Communication with beautician was professional & timely. I was looking for someone who really knew what they were doing and she came through. She's booked & busy, so if you're going to make an appointment know that there may be a wait; I was able to book a midweek appointment two weeks in advance. I would give her 0 stars if it was an option. She’s VERY unprofessional, rude, and does not stick to her word. Nothing but a scam to take YOUR $50 DOWN DEPOSIT, which I completely do not understand. I made an appointment almost a month in advance and sent her the $50 down deposit to secure my appointment. Two days before the appointment, she texts me asking for my address. I sent it to her and then she refused to come to my house, which is within the boroughs that she wrote in her description that she would travel to. She also said she will give my down deposit back. I told her let me find a more convenient place for her before she does, but i didn’t find one. Once I confirmed that I didn’t find a place, I told her she can send it back. I found her on instagram and instantly liked her work. When I showed up she instantly started working and it took four hours like she promised. I got individual crochet faux locs. If you go on her website she has a lot of information on how she does he Hair. During the appointment she was very informative with any questions that I had and told me how to maintain the locs. It did not hurt and mines were very light weight. I forgot to mention to her that I wanted a color dread.. She didn't have the proper hair but made it happen with string. She's really nice and good at what she does. Just like any other hairstyle it's not gonna stay the same as if you just got it done ... It's up to you to maintain the hairstyle. I'd definitely go back, money well spent

Unprofessional. Period. Offered two dates within the timeframe I requested. When I inquired about her traveling to me (as indicated in her online postings), she said she only traveled on Mondays and Tuesdays. When I pointed out that one of the dates she offered was a Tuesday, she told me that she "has a calendar" and then went on to explain that she already had two clients booked for that date and "adding a third would be pushing it" (as if to imply that she was doing me a favor when if what she said was true about having other bookings, the more professional option would have been to never offer the date in the first place). She concluded by declining the date and wishing me luck in my search for "another qualified stylist." Professionalism=longevity...in EVERY industry.
